Mano (mind or brain), referred as the seat of Prana (Life) & Gyana (senses) and Roga (disease) has been referred as vitiation or excitation of the doshas (morbids), in the Ayurvedic texts. According to ayurvedic point of view, the five basic functional objects of mind are:

5. Direction
